Software Engineer

Job Title:  Software Engineer

Job Summary

The Software Engineer works independently and within a team to design, develop, and maintain complex applications that support PNT Data’s existing software solutions and the growing portfolio of service offerings.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop applications with n-tier architecture which includes .Net technologies, XSLT, web services, api’s, and database objects.
  • Possessing strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain complex application designs for peer design reviews, documentation, management discussion purposes.
  • Working independently and within an agile team environment on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Assisting other team members on short notice as needed.
  • Independently and continually learning and acquiring new technical skills and industry knowledge.
  • Troubleshoot escalated Production issues with permission to read diagnostic data from the Production environment. Changes to Production are controlled through the Release Management process.
  • This role will have access to Protected Health Information (PHI), Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and confidential information. All employees will be required to successfully complete and comply with company provided HIPAA Privacy and Security training annually.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

  1. A minimum of 5 years software engineering experience with 3 years of .Net and XML development; strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and Functional Programming concepts.
  2. Proficiency with Data Transformations using XSLT, XPath, Regular Expressions, Scripting.
  3. Proficiency with C#, WCF, Web Services, Rest API’s and XML.
  4. Experience with SQL Server database programming, including design of tables, views, stored procedures and performance tuning.
  5. Good communication, analysis and documentation skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidates would also have working knowledge in any of the following skills:

  1. C# technologies including LINQ, Entity Framework, MSTest/NUnit
  2. Website development with HTML, ASP.NET, HTML5, Dot Net Nuke.
  3. Integration middleware – IBM Integration Bus (Message Broker) and IBM Message Queue.
  4. Javascript
  5. Cloud Architecture (Azure or AWS) and containers
  6. Proficient knowledge and understanding of software delivery processes – ability to work both independently and in an agile team environment
  7. IIS Administration.

Senior Integration Engineer

Job Title: Senior Integration Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Integration Engineer works independently and within a team to design, develop, and maintain complex applications within IBM Integration Bus (IIB) that support PNT Data’s existing software solutions and the growing portfolio of service offerings.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain, develop, test and deploy IIB applications within an n-tier architecture which includes .Net, XSLT, web services, api’s, and database objects.
  • Administer and maintain IIB and MQ infrastructure
  • Possessing strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain complex application designs for peer design reviews, documentation, management discussion purposes.
  • Working independently and within an agile team environment on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Assisting other team members on short notice as needed.
  • Independently and continually learning and acquiring new technical skills and industry knowledge.

EDI Analyst

Title: EDI Analyst

Job Summary:

The EDI Specialist’s role is to develop, coordinate, implement, and communicate the organization’s Internet-based initiatives for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and related systems. This individual is responsible for ensuring that EDI-related procedures are maintained both internally and across industry standards (CAQH, X12, etc.), and are properly executed for development, change requests, and enterprise integration projects. The EDI Specialist will also act as liaison between end users and the IT staff implementing EDI-based applications.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Direct support to customer support group to resolve issues related to transaction processing and workflow.
  • Development/maintenance/troubleshooting of custom data validation/translation maps using third party tools such as Edifecs (SB/XE/XES/EAM).
  • Development/maintenance/troubleshooting of custom data scripting/transformation applications utilizing languages such as JavaScript/Java/C#/XSLT.
  • Development/maintenance/troubleshooting of transaction workflow processes utilizing SQL Server to write/execute queries/stored procedures and set-up/maintain SQL Server jobs.
  • Working cohesively with other groups within the organization such as development/operations/customer support.
  • A high level of understanding in industry standard protocols/coding and associated specifications such as X12, HL7 and ICD-10, as well as a high level of understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.

Qualifications

  1. Five or more years working with the following ANSI X12 transactions (837 – P/I/D, 270, 271, 276, 277U, 277P, 277, 278, 835, 999, TA1, 834)
  2. Two or more years working directly with CORE Rules Phases 1 thru Phase 3
  3. Three or more years working with hosted real-time eligibility or claim status models
  4. Three or more years working directly with monitoring systems (Manage Engine, New Relic, AWS CloudWatch)
  5. Three or more years of direct customer service support (Payer/Provider/Vendor)

 

Technology Skills:

  1. Edifecs (SB/XE/XES/EAM)  -2 or more years
  2. TSQL – 2 or more years
  3. C#, Java or JavaScript – 2 or more years
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint)

 

Working knowledge of web based technologies such as web services, web security and web monitoring is a plus.
